Using images of people: photographs, videos and webcams We often receive enquiries regarding photographing and/or videoing children and young people. The following links provide advice and guidance. Hampshire County Council's guidance on "Using images of people: photographs, videos and webcams" was written to ensure the safety of children and adults used in our publications and websites. It also makes sure staff and schools are aware of the implications of the Data Protection Act 1998. This guidance includes a set of consent forms for use by staff and schools prior to photographs being taken. The following is an extract from the article available below. The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) is the only authorised organisation in the UK which, amongst other things, provides an internet ‘hotline’ for the public to report their exposure to potentially illegal child abuse images. The IWF works in partnership with the government, police and the UK internet and mobile industry to combat this type of internet content.
