Child-Safe Charity Golf Day - 9 December 2002

Stockwood Vale Golf Club kindly donated their Golf Course to Child-Safe,to host a Charity Golf Day on Thursday 12th September 2002. The planning of this event was organised and overseen by Mr Mike Parker, to whom Child-Safe is grateful.

This event took place in weather suitable for the day, with 100 participants in teams of four taking part. There were many competitions built into the event and at the end of the day, everyone enjoyed a three course meal at the club. During the evening Susan Osmand of BBC TV attended to present the many and varied prizes.

It was a most enjoyable event and Stockwood Vale Golf Club have offered their generosity again for the next Golf Day. Also, the day was sponsored by other companys either by way of sponsoring a hole or by donating a prize.

We can only hope that the weather will be repeated at the next Golf Day!
