Conclusions Written forms of information regarding child abuse prevention knowledge and advice are more effective in raising knowledge and changing behaviours within organisations offering extra-curricula activities to young people when delivered in conjunction with an explanatory seminar. Organisations offering extra-curricula activities to young people are often informal and fluid. Prevention messages and activities may need to be repeated regularly to maintain protection levels within a district. A small sample of non-responders could be contacted by other means to assess reasons for lack of response and the results used to tailor the prevention message further. |
