The contents of the new Get Savvy Pack

What is Get Savvy?

Get Savvy! is a citizenship and cultural awareness programme for educational, voluntary and commercial organisations involved with young people. It embraces the principles of citizenship and social responsibility, by empowering young people to participate in active pro-social change through a visible and rewarding scheme.

How does Get Savvy work?

The Get Savvy! resource pack comprises nine main sections covering topics such as the Environment, Safety, Diversity, the British Way of Life, Fire, Community, Health, Vehicles and the Police. Each section divides into subcategories covering a broad range of subjects. For example, under the Community section it looks at topics such as Government and Democracy, Media, Police, Law and Justice, Rights and Responsibilities and Your Local Community.

The resource material is designed with young people in mind. The brightly coloured activity cards are attractive to the eye, helping young people to engage easily with the topics.
